Timasamala U5 data
Data collected as part of a cross-sectional interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA) survey of healthy children, aged 1 to 4 years, living in 33 high-burden neighbourhoods in Blantyre, Malawi. Participants were recruited through a combination of a novel convenience sampling approach in health facilities and random household sampling guided by satellite imagery. They were subsequently tested for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) immunoreactivity using QFT-Plus IGRA. The files provided include a cleaned dataset covering participants with a QFT-Plus result, an R Markdown script written to perform the analyses, and accompanying data documentation. These were used to generate the analyses outlined in "Heterogeneity in Mycobacterium tuberculosis immunoreactivity in young children in Blantyre, Malawi: a community-based survey".
Additional Information
The dataset contains information on HIV exposure in young children. For this reason it is made available via controlled access. Click the 'Request Copy' button and provide brief details on the research in which you are using the work. Once the proposed use has been recorded, access will be provided.
