An anonymised dataset of 1685 coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery patients, who consented for their data to be shared for the TIGHT K Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT). The purpose of this trial was to determine whether supplementing potassium when serum concentration falls below 3.6mEq/l is noninferior to supplementation when serum concentration falls below 4.5mEq/ for the prevention of atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery (AFACS). This multi-centre trial includes data on baseline characteristics, procedural data (CABG), and follow-up data.
Additional Information
The research was conducted in accordance with the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research. Fully anonymized data may be shared for use in health and care research, subject to evidence of ethics approval being provided and a data transfer agreement signed. Please review the codebook and submit a request, outlining state the dataset table and variable names that you wish to access.
