This dataset presents one- and five-year survival rates, by broad age group, for adult patients (aged 15-99 years) diagnosed with one of 23 less common cancers during 1991-1995 and 1996-1999 and followed up to the end of 2001, in England and Wales. The methods for compiling these data are given in chapter 3 of the Office for National Statistics publication Cancer Survival Trends (Series SMPS No.61)
