Commentary, charts and tables present the latest one- and five-year age-standardised crude and relative survival rates for adult patients (aged 15-99 years) diagnosed during 1998-2001 in England followed up to the end of 2003 for 21 common cancers. The methods for compiling these data are in the methods chapter of the Office for National Statistics publication, Cancer Survival Trends (Series SMPS No. 61).
