This dataset presents the five-year relative survival rates up to the end of 1999 for those persons diagnosed between 1992-1994 for cancers of the lung, breast (in women), prostate and colon with data for the health regions and authorities in England (Health Authority data not by gender). The England results were released in January 2001.

This metadata record was first published in LSHTM Research Online as record 11343 on 17th October 2011. It was transferred to the LSHTM data repository on 8th Sept 2016. A new description and updated URLs was added on this date.
