Data used in the paper: "The association between Zika and microcephaly: an observational analysis of over 4 million births in Brazil 2015-2017". Presents summaries of various variables including microcephaly and other birth defects at the municipality level for each week January 2015- May 2017 in the main file "MC_data_public_release". The weekly number of confirmed and suspected (file abbreviation "con" and "sus" respectively) Zika, dengue and chikungunya cases for each municipality are also provided.
