Data and code files for Evaluating Public Health Interventions textbook

Data and code files to accompany the self-directed learning exercises in Chapters 10-15 of the textbook Evaluating Public Health Interventions, edited by Tim Colbourn and James Hargreaves and published by UCL Press in 2026. This is an open access textbook published under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC 4.0). Description of the textbook: Drawing on a range of published studies in health, education and other sectors, this textbook explores the complexity of real world evaluations and enables readers to understand how to investigate whether an intervention works, for whom, when, where, how, and why. It provides a comprehensive introduction to key areas of evaluation including: theories and philosophies underlying evaluation, typologies of evaluation and how different methods can be used individually and in combination to answer different kinds of evaluation question. This textbook is the ideal guide for students, practitioners and policy makers in the field of health policy and evaluation.
