This study that was part of a large prospective study that was investigating severe anaemia in children aged less than 5 years old. The study was conducted at Queen Elizabeth Central hospital in Blantyre and Chikwawa district hospital in southern Malawi. Under-five children with moderate to severe acute malnutrition; defined as weight-for-height z-score less than -2 were included. Each child was followed up for eighteen months at one, three, six, twelve and eighteen months after enrolment. Data was analysed using STATA 14.
We have included the two datasets which we did the analysis as well as the Do_file.
