A prospective cohort study of 700 people living with HIV, with comorbid common mental disorder, enrolled at 8 primary care clinics in Harare in 2017-2018. Six clinics offered problem solving therapy by lay counsellors (Friendship Bench) and 2 offered enhanced usual care. The outcomes was viral suppression measured c.6 months post-enrolment. Mental health was also measured at follow-up.
