An anonymised dataset that contains individual-level information on 1,800 study participants examined for trachoma and serology at health centres in The Gambia. Variables include non-identifiable demographic information on each participant (age, gender, ethnicity, geographic region and clinical data generated from a Pgp3-specific ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay).

| Description of data capture | Demographic data was collected in the field, with the assistance of local health workers and trained trachoma examiners. Dried blood spot samples were analysed using an ELISA specific for antibodies against Pgp3. Samples were assayed at LSHTM. Analyses were completed at LSHTM on 13 June 2016. Data export produced on 21st Jan 2017 |
