LSHTM Emergency and Epidemic Data Kit (EDK) is a specialist implementation of Open Data Kit (ODK) tailored for use in a health emergency situation. This incorporates electronic data collection, aggregation, analysis, and monitoring systems. Specific benefits are the ability to handle a large number of data form submissions (potentially millions), facilities for near-real-time monitoring and data sharing, capacity to register ISO/IEC 19794-2 fingerprints, and optionally generate an audit-trail for monitoring enumerator behaviours.
