Data supporting a publication on use of Bacterial whole-genome sequencing (WGS) to identify transmission of vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) within a long-term care facility (LTCF) and acute hospital in the United Kingdom. It includes a list of accession numbers assigned to study isolates submitted to the European Nucleotide Archive, as well as a phylogenetic tree of the 51 VRE and 25 VSE isolates based on core genome SNPs.
