Description

Description of data capture Smart blister packs (SBPs) were assembled in Tanzania by folding specially designed wallet cards for each of four age/weight groups around blister packs of AL and sealing adhesively. SBPs were activated prior to the study using a portable scanning device and distributed to health facilities and drug shops in Mtwara region. Patients obtained blister packs of AL at public health facilities and private drug shops (ADDOs). Three days later (day 4) patients were visited at home for interview and collection of SBPs. Patients were informed of the study objectives and special nature of the blister packs before providing consent for collection of SBPs. Collected SBPs were scanned to retrieve time stamp data.
