Description
The Samvad project was designed to monitor and evaluate the Samvad intervention, a large-scale digital behaviour change intervention aimed at improving maternal and child nutrition in five Indian states. Six cross-sectional surveys were conducted across five states in India between September 2018 and December 2019. Data were collected from women with a child under two years and married women aged 15-34 years without a child under two years, the husbands of the women interviewed, frontline workers and Samvad video disseminators. From the women and men, data were collection on demographics, exposure to the Samvad intervention, and knowledge and behaviour of key maternal, newborn and young child nutrition and family planning practices. Data on video topic and number of attendees were collected from video disseminators and data on available services and health facility supplies were collected from frontline workers.
