Description
This observational study compared severely immunocompromised HIV-infected patients with and without cryptococcal meningitis (CM), to determine the nature and prevalence of retinal pathology attributable to CM. The study was conducted in Balantyre Malawi and a total of 70 adult patients participated in the study; 35 HIV-infected patients with CM and 35 HIV-infected patients without CM (control subjects). Ophthalmic features (such as visual acuity) associated with CM as well as clinical features (such as hemoglobin levels) were recorded. The dataset consists of one xlsx file "RDS-SPRN-00282 resubmission". The Excel file contains five separate spreadsheets.
