Dataset to reproduce the statistical analysis of the risk factors associated with the uptake of sexual and reproductive health services by adolescent boys and young men in Lusaka. Each row represents a randomly selected adolescent boy or young man (ABYM) in of one of two urban communities in Lusaka Zambia, stratified by cases (those not taking up sexual and reproductive health services) and controls (ABYM taking up one or more sexual and reproductive health services). Data includes demographic and sexual behaviour characteristics, alcohol use and mental health.

Description of data capture Two attempts for face-to-face interviews at the household were made. If unable to conduct face-to-face interviews at the household, phone interviews or face-to-face interviews at a place of the participant’s choice, were conducted. The questionnaire was administered by a male research assistant using an Electronic Data Capturing device (tablet). The electronic questionnaire was programmed using Open Data Kit (ODK) software.
