Description
This dataset contains survey responses collected from 1,330 young people from South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe who took part in the CHAPS social science quantitative survey. The primary purpose of the survey was to investigate demographics and socio-behavioural risk factors related to HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) preferences amongst young people.
Keywords
Description of data capture | Between March and December 2019, purposive community sampling was used to recruit young people aged 13-24 years - prioritising those who were sexually active and living without known HIV - in four settings: Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa, Wakiso in Uganda, and Chitungwiza in Zimbabwe. Young people were eligible to participate in the survey if they were aged 13-24 years and willing to undergo HIV testing. | ||||
