We conducted a re-review of papers from two systematic reviews that assessed effectiveness of water, sanitation, and/or handwashing with soap interventions on diarrheal disease and acute respiratory infections to assess women’s roles in WASH research and intervention activities (PROSPERO: CRD42022346360). We re-reviewed papers from two recent systematic reviews published in The Lancet that assessed effectiveness of water, sanitation, and/or handwashing with soap interventions on diarrheal disease(1) and acute respiratory infections(2). Data were extracted from each article twice by independent reviewers using a common data extraction template in excel. 1. Wolf J, Hubbard S, Brauer M, et al.
