Qualitative interviews conducted with health care providers and pharmacists to explore their experiences of delivering care for hypertension and cardiovascular disease, with a focus on processes of selecting, prescribing and dispensing medication, and on acceptability of FDC therapy. Interviews were conducted in-person by three interviewers: (1) Interviewer A: Male, Swahili/English speaking, qualitative researcher at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust, Nairobi, Kenya; (2) Interviewer B: Female, English speaking, qualitative researcher at LSHTM, London, UK; (3) Interviewer C: Male, Swahili/English speaking, qualitative researcher at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust, Nairobi, Kenya. 22 transcripts of interviews were conducted with 24 healthcare workers. One interview was conducted jointly with three healthcare workers of the same cadre. Data was transcribed and translated into English by professional bilingual transcribers/translators employed by KEMRI-WT. Transcripts were reviewed by interviewers A and B.
