To protect participant confidentiality, a subset of data may be requested for use in health research, subject to the signing of a Data Transfer Agreement (DTA). A quantitative dataset to reproduce the statistical analysis of the study "Clinical outcomes of individuals with an abnormal chest X-ray but no evidence of TB disease up to two years after participating in a TB prevalence survey in Zambia and South Africa". This study was embedded within the TREATS TB Prevalence survey in the Intensive Diagnostic Phase (IDP) communities. Each row represents participant included in this study. These were participants from the TREATS TBPS who were eligible for follow-up in the IDP communities. Each row includes socio-demographic characteristics, HIV-status, results of TB-symptom screening, Xray-screening (CAD4TB-score), TB bacteriological test result on sputum (Xpert-Ultra, culture), self-reported symptoms at follow-up, X-ray findings (CAD4TB-score) at follow-up and Xpert-Ultra results on those eligible for sputum submission at follow-up. 2025-01-27 completed London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine 10.17037/DATA.00003878 Dataset London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, London, United Kingdom Zambart, Zambia Health Systems Trust, South Africa XTBC TREATS study group SelfAdministeredQuestionnaire restricted London, United Kingdom European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership TREATS Dataset Quantitative Participants of the TREATS TB prevalence survey (TBPS) visited a mobile field site and were guided through a flow of stations (registration, TB-symptom screening, Chest X-ray, sputum collection point, HIV-testing). Those eligible for follow-up were visited at home were questionnaire was administered, then participants were referred to central location for CXR and sputum collection if eligible. All data collected at different stations within the TBPS and at different time points and locations at the follow-up was recorded using a tailor-made electronic Data Management System using a mySQL relational database in a local area network. Data from the mobile field site and from the different time points and locations was daily synchronized to a central location at Zambart. Electronic data capturing of questionnaires, administered by Research Enumerators through interviews were combined with results of HIV rapid test, bacteriological test for TB in sputum and chest Xray- CAD4TB results both from the TBPS and the follow-up.
