Access may be provided to limited, anonymised data for the purpose of verification or use in ethically approved research, subject to several conditions being met. Researchers wishing to access data should complete and submit a data application form, outlining the research purpose for which they wish to use the data, ethics approvals that have been obtained, and a list of variables that they wish to access. The MAISHA study (CRT01) is a mixed methods evaluation, including a cluster randomised trial (CRT) of a small group based social empowerment intervention to prevent intimate partner violence (IPV) against women in Mwanza city, Tanzania. The trial was conducted among women already participating in a group-based microfinance scheme, with the microfinance group being the unit of randomisation and (in the intervention arm) the unit of intervention delivery. The intervention comprised a ten-session social empowerment curriculum delivered over a 20-week period. The CRT involved two surveys of trial participants, the first conducted prior to randomisation (baseline), and the second 29 months later (follow-up).
