Qualitative data were collected to understand the mechanisms through which interventions change behaviour. This study explored the mechanisms for behaviour change in the family, the contextual factors that enable or hinder the triggering of these mechanisms and whether interactions between families and frontline workers leads, or does not lead to increase coverage of critical interventions.
