In order to determine how best to promote face washing with soap to maximise interruption of Chlamydia trachomatis transmission, we assessed how effectively ocular and nasal discharge were removed from children's faces following washing with water or with water and soap. We also studied how long it took for ocular and nasal discharge to return to children's faces after washing. The dataset can be found here.
