Supporting files for a systematic review titled, “Understanding interventions to prevent and respond to family violence against women in South Asia”. It contains the search strategy developed to locate papers in MEDLINE and aggregated data for papers included in the review.
A data extraction sheet was used to extract the data from the papers included in this review.
Papers describing interventions to respond and prevent violence against women in South Asian region were included.
The search covered papers published up to January 31, 2026. No start date was set for the search
Data were extracted using a structured data extraction form to maintain consistency across all included studies including study characteristics, methodologies, participants, intervention details, sectors in which interventions were implemented, and their outcomes.
Primary author extracted the data and, where unsure, discussed the details with second author and reached a consensus. The extracted data were recorded in a secure excel spreadsheet, ensuring that all information was organised and secure.
Papers with interventions aimed to prevent or respond to family violence against women aged 15 years and over were included.
No primary data were collected from individuals and no personal or sensitive identifiable information was obtained. All data were derived from previously published studies available in the public domain.
