Description

Data collected from 2,097 adolescents aged 10-19 years who gave informed consent, or informed assent with parental/guardian consent, to participate in a prospective intervention study to assess the feasibility and short-term impact of an adolescent health check-up programme in selected schools and community venues in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe between October 2022 to September 2023.

Data codebook

This codebook describes the 230 variables contained in the HearX dataset, which was produced as part of the Y-Check Zimbabwe intervention 2022-23. The codebook was created in reference to the HearX hear test data dictionary (version 01 March 2024). The headset model used to conduct the audiometric assessment was Sennheiser HD 280.
