Description

This collection consists of:

  1. An MS Excel spreadsheet that contains summarised content information of 71 national and international malnutrition guidelines for an overview of available guidance for at-risk mothers and infants < 6 months (Guideline_details_data);
  2. An MS Excel spreadsheet that contain the AGREE II scores of 71 national and international malnutrition guidelines assessing their quality (AGREE II review data)

Data collection methods

The 71 malnutrition guidelines were sourced online (via a common search engine and through resource collections of malnutrition working groups, homepages of national health ministries or NGO homepages) and via professional contacts. They were read in their entirety, then relevant content (e.g. on clinical recommendations) was extracted into an excel spreadsheet to provide a comprehensive overview.

Two independent reviewers scored 71 national and international malnutrition guidelines according to the AGREE II framework.

Data analysis and preparation

  1. Guideline spreadsheet: no specific data analysis method was used
  2. Guidelines were scored according to the AGREE II framework

Key dates

Malnutrition guidelines were sourced, read, summarized and scored according to the AGREE framework between May and July 2020.

Quality controls

AGREE scoring was done by two independent reviewers as required by the AGREE II framework.
